Which brings me to another point--I absolutely HATE it when people just have "..." in their description. At the VERY LEAST put what materials/programs were used in it, please! If you have nothing to say about it, then say "I really don't have much to say about this." It's not that hard. Really. I really want to know what people were thinking about when they made their images!
Segue: if you fave something of mine, but don't bother to comment on the deviation you faved, I'm NOT going to go to your homepage and say "thx 4 the
Another rant, on the #Apophysis side. You all know I'm an admin for the group, right? I sort through your notes and compile/score the WTCs. Picking at nits, did you know that about 60% or so of you all don't follow the rules? That's right. I've asked you all every single week to submit your entry with the note title of "weekly theme" and the vote note title as "weekly theme vote." It really bothers me that I ask you to in one sentence, and the very next sentence I state what the theme of the next contest is. Do people really not read anything? I admit, most of the time it's little deviations, which are easy to catch. But some of you title it like "submission," and if you do that, I guarantee that I won't read it--because that's the title used for gallery submissions, not WTC submissions. And stuff like that. It's getting old. Really fast. [oh, and if you bother to enter fractals into the WTCs regularly, for the love of God, please vote. Voting takes way less time than it does to make a fractal. I'm sick of having 40 entries but only 20 votes, most of which aren't even from people that entered.]
Sadly, this journal was about the lack of literacy on dA, so I'm sure most people who read this won't get this far. How ironic.
I know I've stepped on some toes with this. I'm sorry for being rude. I bottle my anger up for a long time, and when it finally spills over, it's like freaking Katrina. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to edit this post to a nicer tone. It's really how I feel right now.
*sigh*
On the bright side, I got my new power adapter for my laptop. *weak laugh*
I got "hired" to be a DJ on campus here. If you want to listen, I'll be on the radio from 4-7 EST every Friday afternoon. Radio streaming can be found here: [link] . The Live Stream works with WMP. If anything about that site doesn't work, let me know and I'll take it down--KMNR has been butting heads with the local IT department. Since I'm just a trainee, I'll only get about an hour each week of my own. My trainer listens to stuff like U2 and Dave Matthews Band and more obscure, coughboringcough music. I like more upbeat things, personally. Expect loud fast music in the future.
There are so many more things I could rant about, but I'm kind of burnt out now. Thanks for listening.
Liz

Silliness, aside I commiserate with you; I've always had deep respect and appreciation for those of you who take on the task of administrating a community, especially since most, no, will not read any sort of instructions nor pay any mind at all to requests, nor exhibit any modicum of common courtesy.
I'll see your rant and raise you a grumble.
I'll meet your grumble and raise a sigh.
