The Dealio
Okay, I was bored and messing around with the Wii the other day, and I realized there's this whole function on the Wii that I've yet to use: messaging between consoles. I know there's some of you out there that own a Wii (cough ~
TwilightAmbiance cough), so...wanna send me a message? My console's number is
6315-0795-4166-1215. In fact, if you send me a message, write in your dA name, and I'll make you a fractal. Sound cool?
So, this last couple of months has been crazy. I went to Hawaii with my boyfriend and his family for his grandfather's funeral. That was a very interesting trip, for a number of reasons. It was very...enlightening to travel with someone else's family. Yes, his family pretty much drove me crazy, lol. The funeral was very interesting, too: his grandfather was Buddhist, which made for a very different kind of service than I'm used to.
Christmas went well! I got pretty much everything on my list, which was very nice. I got Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii (which was impossible to find, I hear, so kudos to my family), a carrying case for the Wii, some rechargeable batteries and a recharger (also for the Wii, lol), and then some misc. stuff for my dorm room. My dorm's pretty pimp now, yo. The cubefreak is pleased.

After Christmas, my parents, my sister and her husband, and my boyfriend and I went to Breckenridge, CO. That was pretty awesome, too. We stayed in a condo at the bottom of the ski slopes there (at 4 o'clock run, if you're familiar with it). My parents and I and my sister have all been skiing a number of times before, and her husband is pretty awesome at snowboarding, but Michael (boyfriend) had never been on the slopes. I figure, if he has to learn something, let's learn how to snowboard together! That was hard. Especially going down these slopes that would be so easy to ski down. On the last day I got like a fifth the way down the slope, sat down, and just cried for like ten minutes. It was very hard emotionally for me; at least Michael did well! Let's just say that next time I'm going to be skiing. In the end, though, I'm really happy that we went, and I'm glad I at least tried snowboarding...I think I've messed up my knees though. I'll have to keep an eye on that.
Kudos if you're still reading. School has started back up, and I'm a lot happier this semester than I was last semester. Last semester was really hard and sucky, but this one seems to be so much better. I guess noteworthy for my dA peeps is that I'm finally taking an art class: Painting I. I have not taken an art class since...6th grade. Wow. And I'm a sophomore in college. Wow. Anyways, if I make anything cool, I'll scan it and post it here. Also, I realized that the school bookstore sells small stretched canvasses, two for like 3 dollars...that's pretty cool to me. I plan on buying some later in the semester just to paint.
So...how are you doing?

Handy dandy link...with pictures! Sorry that took so long. whenever I was at my laptop, I wasn't near my console to remember how to do it.
