Musings of a gamer girl:
I never quite knew how to feel about being a gamer girl in high school. My junior year, Halo 2 came out, so during that rush, I spent a lot of time at a friend's house playing Halo 1 and 2 on the Xbox. Of course, it was all guys and me. Talk about sex ed *rolls eyes*. I logged so many hours playing multiplayer Halo in high school. I guess I never really thought about other girls playing games like that with me--maybe I was just hanging around the wrong kind of people. Let's face it, the guys I was playing Halo with weren't exactly the most charismatic kind of people. I assumed there were other girls in high school that were like me, I just hadn't found them. I did have one friend in high school with whom I played video games and stuff. Way fun, but she wasn't really friends with my other gamer guy friends. And she was just one other girl. So I get to college, and I'm rather excited. I go to a nerd school--a school of "science and technology"--where about 90% of us are engineering majors. I figure, I'm in nerd heaven! I should be able to find another gamer girl that I can room with and doesn't mind me playing video games. Well, a year and a half later...still haven't found one. Instead, most of my gaming gear has ended up in my boyfriend's room, and me and him and his roommates all play video games together. No gamer girls in sight, even at this nerd school. So, I'm really confused. We must really be rare. I wish more girls would make the effort. All parties would win: the girl would have fun, other girls would be in good company, and more guys would have gamer girlfriends. See?! Win-win-win. So, why would I create this stamp, when there are so many others out there that say the same thing? Well, they all seem to have something more to say than just "Gamer girl." They're all either "I'm a gamer girl and I'm proud of it" or "I'm a sexy dark gamer" or "I will pwn you" or "I'm a cutesy gamer!" I don't want to say any of these. I just want you to know that I play video games--you don't need a stamp to know my personality. I guess I just didn't really feel like any of the existing female gamer stamps applied to me. So, this stamp is for all of you that have ever owned a console, rolled some 20s (au naturale, of course), or pwned at Starcraft, and found yourself to be in the minority. Go ahead and comment with what games you like/are good at! I like Starcraft, Halo, Rise of Nations, Age of Empires, D&D (if I could ever find someone to play with), Rock Band, Tetris, Guitar Hero, Cooking Mama...really, I like it all. `rubikscubefreak |

Never played Halo; I'm not much of a shooter, but there are some awesome games out there and I wish we could hang out and play!

Nan-Snacks: A Bitta Love in Every Pack
Lemme see, what games are I good at...
1. Stepmania (DDR for PC) - This is the game I'm best at.
2. Halo 2 - Close 2nd.
3. Guitar Hero - Just beat Raining Blood on Hard!
4. Actual DDR.
5. Any Zelda game, especially Link's Awakening. (Love that game...)
6. StarCraft -
7. Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX.
8. Many more...
I'd love to learn how to play a game of D&D, but no one around here plays it and it seems fairly expensive.
